BEE-hind the scenes

It started with a Star Wars fan turned philanthropist
BEE founder Jon Beckman just wanted to see the newest episode in the Star Wars saga without standing in line for hours and dealing with crowds. That desire sparked an idea… what if he could buy every seat for an early release showing of the film and invite employees, family and friends to partake in the premiere with him? He approached a local theater with his wish, and was given the OK. That screening was exciting and electrifying, as 230 acquaintances were able to get together for what became a repeat event. The joy from each movie experience gave Jon another idea…what if he could spread that delight to people who could use an uplifting, entertaining experience?
So the Beckman Entertainment Experience (BEE) was launched — a non-profit that seeks to help other charities create a customized event that gifts the magic of the movies. Let’s work together to bring the silver screen to those in need.

BEE-yond the big screen

It’s more than just a movie — it’s a celebration
BEE can organize a new-release movie screening for your charity and the families you serve. Begin by meeting with a BEE representative to determine a film that would be right for your audience members. BEE then works with a sponsor theater to secure an auditorium for your event. Once the day and time are determined, BEE provides payment to the theater and finalizes arrangements. BEE will work side by side with you to send out invitations and promote the silver screen soiree.
On the day of your event…
A representative from BEE and your charity will collaborate to ensure the event is a success. When guests arrive, there will be no long lines to wait in — just fun-filled feature film festivities including a photo booth and VIP perks.
